This inkstand features a stamped sheet brass tray, saucer-shaped with intricate patterns and raised edges. The tray holds two pressed glass inkwells with pegged bottoms, each designed with eight facets, giving them an octagonal shape. The inkwells’ lids have ball finals. Completing the inkstand is a pen wipe held within an urn-shaped holder, crafted in the form of a stylized griffin. Italian Renaissance style.
