This inkstand features a sleek and elegant design. A brass frame with handles supports a rectangular glass base, which includes a curved pen holder at the front. It supports two square-shaped matching crystal inkwells with hinged brass lids. Each inkwell has a square indentation at the bottom that fits into a corresponding square protrusion on the base, ensuring they stay securely in place. The inkstand is marked “Ges Gesch” which stands for “Gesetzlich Geschützt,” which translates to “Legally Protected” in English. This indicates that the design or trademark was registered and protected under German or Austrian law. The inkstand is Art Deco in style with its shape and clean lines.
