This inkstand is marked “Bradley & Hubbard”. It is made of cast iron with a brass finish. An octagonal base has an attached pen rack and holds a pressed glass swirl inkwell with loose matching cover.
It bears the Bradley & Hubbard mark on the underside – a stylized oil lamp within a triangle encircled by “Bradley & Hubbard Mfg Co”. It is also marked “6033 – PAT APLD FOR”. Bradley & Hubbard was a well-regarded American manufacturing company known for producing high-quality metalware, including lamps, clocks, and desk accessories, from the mid-19th to the mid-20th century.
