This brass inkstand from the 1920s is marked “Bradley & Hubbard”. The main body of the inkstand features a central, raised inkwell compartment. This compartment is square with a fitted lid with a knob.

Flanking the inkwell is an elongated, shallow tray designed to hold pens. The edges of this tray are often slightly raised and decorated with a stylized foliate design.

It bears the Bradley & Hubbard mark on the underside – a stylized oil lamp within a triangle encircled by “Bradley & Hubbard Mfg Co”. Bradley & Hubbard was a well-regarded American manufacturing company known for producing high-quality metalware, including lamps, clocks, and desk accessories, from the mid-19th to the mid-20th century.
