This inkstand features a charming and detailed sculptural scene. It portrays a boy standing beside a small hut on a rocky base, holding a rope that pulls a toy boat. The boy is dressed in period-style clothing. Adjacent to the boy is a rustic hut with a thatched roof and textured walls evoke a quaint, countryside feeling. The hinged roof of the hut cleverly conceals the inkwell within. The entire piece is mounted on a circular base.
