This inkstand features a bisque porcelain figure of a boy. The boy is depicted sitting with arms and legs crossed, nestled in a sailboat. The sailboat has a blue glass bottom that is hand painted and holds two glass inkwells, each with brass lids. These lids are chained to the pole that supports the sail made from brass. An anchor serves as one of the legs of the inkstand.
