Cast of silverplated brass, this inkstand features a boy fishing on a boat casting a net. A basket overflowing with fish is hinged and covers the inkwell. The surrounding reeds and water plants form a match holder (striker on back side) and candle holder. The branches in the rear serve as a pen holder.
