Inkwell & pen accessory box. This could date back to the Civil War era. Black finish with the original gold pinstriping on the domed lid. Paint loss on the sides. The lid hinge works well. The square ink bottle has its original lid. The metal sander held powder or pounce that was used for drying or absorbing excess ink.
