This cut blue glass inkwell is etched with florals.

  • Shape: The inkwell has a distinct octagonal shape, both its base and its body, which tapers slightly as it rises. The lid is also octagonal and has a slightly pointed shape.
  • Decorative Etchings: The inkwell is adorned with finely etched floral and vine motifs on its octagonal panels. These intricate etchings are highlighted with gold gilding.
  • Color and Material: The glass is a deep blue, which was a popular and expensive color for decorative glass in the 19th century.
