This black amethyst blown mold glass inkwell has four lobed sections and a hinged lid which repeats the lobed form. The glass is hand enameled with a different floral spray in each section: bluebells, pink star flowers, blue forget-me-nots and a multi floral spray with a pink rose center and a spray of blue foxglove. Delicate sprays of greenery are tucked under the neck band. The four sections of the lid have smaller matching motifs corresponding to the lower panels. The cinch line between each lobe is trimmed in gold and the upper and lower brass bands of the lid and neck are embossed with a tiny floral pattern. The bottom of each lobe has been polished flat.
