This inkwell, marked “The Avon Coppersmith”, was created by Arthur Cole, who opened the Avon Coppersmith shop around 1930-1931 after leaving The Roycroft Copper Shop. The inkwell features a clear glass body with a copper lid with a textured, hammered look.
The Avon Coppersmith line included a variety of decorative pieces, such as inkwells, candle holders, and other items that combined clear glass and copper elements. These pieces were known for their unique combination of materials and the fine craftsmanship that went into their creation.
