Hammered and nailed by hand, this inkstand is embossed with, on each side of a tapered rectangular inkwell (insert missing) with hinged lid, an owl on a branch with pinecones. The naturalistic motif continues on the base with embossed pinecones and branches. Pen rests stylized as branches flank the inkwell.
