This inkstand exemplifies Art Deco design, characterized by its sleek, geometric lines and modern aesthetic. The base is made of marble, featuring natural grey veining and has a pen channel. On one end of the base, there’s a cubist dog figure with geometric facets, giving it a stylized and abstract appearance typical of the Art Deco movement. The dog is seated and appears to be crafted from a dark, possibly patinated metal, adding to its striking look. On the opposite end from the dog, there’s an inkwell with a hinged lid. The inkwell mirrors the geometric design elements of the cubist dog, maintaining the cohesive Art Deco theme.
