This inkstand is made of cold-painted white metal. It portrays an Arab man engaged in prayer, kneeling on a vibrantly patterned prayer rug with tasseled edges. The rug features intricate designs in red, green, and blue hues. Positioned near him are an open book and a pair of slippers.
To the right of the figure lies a tasseled pillow with a decorative star-patterned top. This pillow has a hinged cover that opens to reveal the inkwell. On the underside, the piece is stamped with “Made in Austria”.
