Modelled after Tiffany pieces, this inkwell features green opalescent Favrile glass against an overlaid pattern of clematis flowers against a trellis or lattice. It has a decorative beaded border edge, a domed lid, and flat bun style feet.
A larger version (also shown here) comes complete with an undertray and pen holder.
Also shown is a third example – an Apollo Studios bronze and green slag glass double inkwell. The Apollo studio was founded by Austrian immigrant B. Gasner in the early 1900’s. He was part of the Arts & Craft movement and was comparable, but not as widely known as Tiffany Studios. The work was very similar. It has the original glass inserts.
