This inkwell is made of deep, amber-colored glass. The color is a rich, warm tone that ranges from a lighter honey to a darker golden brown, depending on the light. The glass is cut and faceted, with a diamond-like pattern of alternating beveled panels on the body. The inkwell has a square base. The inkwell is fitted with a brass collar. The hinge is a barrel design.
