Ormolu bronze inkstand. The stand is based on four dolphin-shaped leggs.
A seated Cossack Ataman Matfei Platov is depicted holding a flask.
A French banner is placed on the ground in front of the seated figure commemorating the Russian victory over Napoleon in the 1812 Campaign.

Platov was a general of the cavalry and a hero.
