“Louis XVI” is a classical pattern perfect for a French writing desk. Louis XVI pieces have a soft gold doré finish. Three examples are shown here.
#1821 measures 4” x 3” x 3 ½” high – shell and swag motif
#1825 measures 4” x 3” x 3” high – raised flowered handle, garlands, acanthus leaves.
#1827 – oval shaped measures 4 ¼” x 3 ½” x 2” high – a large urn on the lid, garlands all around.
#1821 sold for $600 in July 2021, $500 in February 2022; $700 in May 2025
#1825 sold for $895 in December 2022
#1827 sold for $859 in June 2022
