Made by Jennings Brothers out of Bridgeport, Connecticut, the top of the woman’s head is hinged and opens to the inkwell (insert missing). Her flowing hair forms side handles. The piece is marked “J.B.” and numbered “957”.

Sold for $216 in August 2023
