Made of cast iron, this inkstand holds glass inkwells with lids (one lid missing). A pen rack (space for up to eight pens) and a push button bell comprise the top of the inkstand. The circular holder and the pen rack / bell each rotate full circle. There is a depressed area for storing nibs, etc. between the inkwells. Impressed mark around the center stem reads “A. D. Hibbs – Pat Apl – 26 – 1870”.
