A gorgeous and very large inkwell standish in the Georgian style but made later, probably Edwardian. The removable candle holder sits on a sealing wax compartment. Marked ‘NJ’ (flower) ‘D’ (unidentified maker – possibly Dublin).
Condition: Stand is gleaming silver with some very minor surface marks, no dents. Glass is fine (some tiny fleabites only) with some very minor ink residue. Both wells have some minor marks to their plating at the apertures from use. Missing its snuffer to the candle holder.
