Influenced by the Jugendstil movement, this original Erhard & Söhne inkstand shows superior craftsmanship and design elements with its burl wood with brass scrolling leaf and tendril inlay, and mother of pearl inlay embellishments. Erhard & Söhne was granted the world patent for the manufacture of brass inlay in 1904. Fine attention to quality and detail including an original blown two-piece glass insert (conical miser ink and glass insert).
