Workman uses a buck saw to saw a log resting in a sawbuck. Next to him is a lidded basket which houses the inkwell. The fence in the background works as a pen holder, as does the bucket. This is a detailed casting – the man’s clothes, the basket and bucket, even the teeth of the saw. There is an unidentified maker’s mark on the bottom.
