Maitland-Smith Griffin Inkstand – Buyer Be Aware
Maitland-Smith, founded in 1979 by a London antiques dealer, is a company that specializes in creating decorative accessories. Among the items made for Maitland-Smith are decorative inkstands. Another example is shown here – a modern production made for the “look”.
This “griffin” or “gryphon” inkstand is available in different finishes. There is a sticker on the bottom (unless the dealer removed it) which states: “Designed and Hand Made in Thailand”.
