This is an Art Deco double inkstand desk set crafted from amber Bakelite, complete with a matching rocker blotter and pen. The set exhibits the warm, translucent quality often found in amber Bakelite, giving it a rich and somewhat glowing appearance. The color ranges from deep honey to reddish-brown tones, with some areas showing a slight mottling or marbling characteristic of this early plastic. The design is geometric and streamlined, typical of the Art Deco era.

The set comprises the following pieces:

  • Double Inkstand: A rectangular base forms the foundation of the set. It features clean, stepped edges. Two distinct square inkwell holders rise from the surface of the base. Two hinged lids cover the inkwells.
  • Rocker Blotter: The matching rocker blotter has a rectangular Bakelite base with a raised, rounded handle on top. The underside would have originally held blotting paper to absorb excess ink.
  • Dip Pen: The matching dip pen features a cylindrical Bakelite handle.
