This Onyx inkstand has a base made of creamy white Onyx with swirls of brown and amber, accented by dark veins running through the stone. The base has a square shape. The inkwell itself is cylindrical and has a hinged lid. The lid is adorned with a sterling silver collar, marked for Henry Griffith & Sons, a renowned silversmith from London, dated 1935.
