A porcelain inkwell in the form of a stout, squat man with his finger pointing downwards. His comical, Toby-like, exaggerated features (large nose with a bump) could be those of a character from folklore or literature. Two examples are shown – the orange one is larger. The head lifts to access the inkwell / sander.
