PZH stands for “Plateelbakkerij Zuid-Holland”, which translates to Zuid-Holland Pottery Factory. In 1898, PZH began producing art pieces featuring Art Nouveau designs. Around 1910, PZH developed a new matte glazed process known as the Rhodian process.
