Set on a saucer base with scalloped edges, this inkwell with an unattached lid is decorated with shamrocks. The underside is impressed “T. GOODE & CO LTD, WEMYSS WARE, LONDON”.
Wemyss Ware is a distinctive type of Scottish pottery known for its colorful hand-painted designs. It was produced primarily in the late 19th and early 20th centuries. Thomas Goode & Co. had selling rights for Wemyss Ware in England.
