This black cut glass inkwell with beveled edges and corners and a faceted round top is hand painted on the lid, and on three of the four sides. The front has a red rooster head crowing “Bonjour”. The left side has a butterfly on a leafy green branch. The right side has a bee on a leafy branch. The top of the lid repeats the butterfly motif. Small white enameled dots circle the lid and upper body. The neck and lower lid are banded in brass.
