A leather covered writing box dating from the early 20th century. The box has an inset carrying handle on the top and there is a metal key escutcheon on the front of the box. It comes with a working key. It opens to reveal a large blotting pad below the lid, a small inkwell, pen tray and a lift-up leather section with a small letter rack section on the back.
