English Cameo Glass with Gorham Top

The cameo glass base is attributed to Thomas Webb & Sons. The rounded hinged sterling silver lid, made by Gorham and hallmarked 1896, is chased with clover flowers.

Two examples are pictured. The first is called “midnight blue” and is layered white with a floral and leaf branch decoration. The second example shows the domed circular body of white opaque glass cut back to a red ground, decorated with flowering cherry branches.
