An ornate silverplate inkwell with pen holder in the form of a pyramid. The protruding eagles’ heads which form the pen holder represent the Eagle of Horus, an Egyptian deity known as the god of kingship, healing, protection, the sun and sky. Marked James Dixon & Sons, Sheffield.
