Measuring 10” diameter; 6 ¾” high

An urn-shaped inkwell stands in a dish-shaped tray. The tray is cast with an inner relief band depicting a Bacchanale procession of figures and animals, surrounded by wreathed images of Roman coins. The attached urn holding the inkwell shows gladiators in relief fighting lions in between anthemion designs. At the top, surrounding a lid with a pinecone finial, are female busts.
