Sterling silver inkstand with a shell design and scroll feet. In the center is a vine and flower candle holder, complete with a cone snuffer, which covers a storage compartment. Two glass inkwells are fitted with sterling rims and removeable lids. All pieces are marked “R.E.A.” (Robinson, Edkins & Aston) with a passant guardant silver standard mark, sovereign’s head duty mark, and Birmingham anchor and date mark “M” for 1835.
