Most likely an inkwell for a child, this porcelain Art Deco inkstand has a stepped pen rest base with hand-painted trim in bright orange, blue, and yellow. The lid covering the inkwell has for its finial a jolly, cartoonish duck. The piece is marked “Germany” and numbered 4826.
