A cartoonish looking psychic medium wearing a green turban with a crescent moon affixed to the front. There is a pen hole in the top of the turban. It looks like he is holding lemons. According to some beliefs, lemons can be used to ward off negative entities and energies. He wears billowy pants with his pointed-toe slippers showing. Molded onto the back edge of the base: “Germany 8254”.
This inkwell is one of a series – cartoonish characters with bulbous bottoms and lift off top to reveal the ink pot. The head (top) has a hole to hold a pen. All were made in Germany.
