Winged cupid, holding a mallet, is hard at work forging an arrow on an anvil, readying to cast his love spell. He kneels on a tasseled pillow between two stemmed glass inkwells, all on a wooden base painted black. The lid on one of the inkwells is a figural torch. The other lid is a quiver of arrows.
