A Middle Eastern man and woman, colorfully hand painted, are seated on an exotic divan – all made of unglazed bisque. The couple are also miniature nodders – their removable heads are balanced with weights on rockers, so their heads gently bobble when the piece is moved. The top lifts off to access an inkwell and pounce pot housed in a glazed base highlighted in gold.
