This inkwell was excavated by the Egyptian Expedition of the Metropolitan Museum of Art (NYC) in 1926 to 1927. It dates to Middle Kingdom to Early New KingdomPeriod, Dynasty 11 – 18, during the period 2124 to 1504 BC.
