This World War I commemorative inkstand features an artillery gunner in a prone position. The front plaque reads “Souvenir of Verdun,” commemorating the Battle of Verdun. The inkwell’s lid is designed as a French military helmet. The inkstand is signed “Ouveb” and marked on the underside with “2051 Depose Made in France.”
