This porcelain double inkstand features two square-shaped inkwells with pointed lids, situated on either side of a central pen tray. The design includes delicate blue and white floral patterns (perhaps forget-me-nots) in a soft green hue, adorning both the pots and the tray area. The edges of the stand are scalloped, adding to its ornate appearance.
Victoria Carlsbad refers to porcelain items produced in the Carlsbad (now Karlovy Vary, Czech Republic) region of Austria by the Victoria Porcelain Factory. This factory was established in 1883 by Lazarus & Rosenfeld Ltd. and later operated under various names and owners. The mark “Victoria Carlsbad Austria” was used from 1891 to 1918.
