This pierced sterling silver inkstand standing on paw feet is hallmarked for Henry Wilkinson, Sheffield, 1857. It bears the engraving:
“Presented to Mr. George Thomas Cattle as a tribute of respect by the workmen of the Sheffield Daily Telegraph June 26th 1858”
Sold for $392 in October 2024
