This hand-painted porcelain inkstand depicts a gentleman, and a woman dressed in 18th-century attire. The man is standing with legs crossed behind a seated woman. Both figures are adorned in elaborate clothing with intricate patterns and vibrant colors. A small dog is seated next to the woman.

The inkstand includes a sander (a container with holes for sprinkling sand to dry ink) and an inkwell (a container for holding ink), both integrated into the base of the figurine. The base itself is decorated with a floral motif and has a small dish-like area in front with two love birds.
