Oval Bronze and Marble Inkstand

This is a double inkstand featuring a combination of bronze and marble. The inkstand has an elongated, oval shape with a central area that holds a piece of dark marble with prominent white veining. The marble base is framed by an ornate bronze border with beaded edging.  The inkstand has two cylindrical inkwells, one situated on each side of the central marble area. These inkwells are made of bronze and have matching domed lids. The inkstand has four small, scrolled feet. On one of the bolts on the underside is impressed: “L.B. Paris Made in France”.
