This inkwell cast in a bronze-toned metal was shaped to represent the head and neck of a horse. The horse’s head is depicted with sculpted ears, detailed eyes, flared nostrils, and a carefully rendered bridle with visible straps and buckles. The flowing mane is also captured with textured detail. The top portion of the horse’s head is hinged and lifts open to reveal the inkwell. The base of the inkwell is formed as a pen tray in the shape of a horseshoe.
