This French inkstand, dating to around 1880, is cast in the Louis XV style from gilt bronze. It features elaborate floral, rope, and tassel motifs. The inkwell has a rounded, domed lid adorned with floral designs and a finial. The body of the inkwell is also decorated with floral swags and rope detailing, with prominent tassels hanging from the lower edge. The piece rests on short, stylized legs.
