This double inkstand features a figure of a cherub. The inkstand rests on an irregularly shaped base of polished marble, showcasing warm tones of beige and brown with dramatic, contrasting veins of darker browns and grays running through it.

Positioned in the center of the marble base is a sculpture of a cherub. The cherub is depicted as a plump, winged child, characteristic of Renaissance and Baroque artistic traditions. The material of the cherub is spelter metal, which has been given a bronze finish. The cherub is holding a cluster of grapes and appears to be in a playful or contemplative pose, adding a whimsical and decorative element to the inkstand.

Flanking the central cherub are two matching inkwells. Each inkwell has a rounded, pedestal-like base adorned with decorative motifs, and a domed hinged lid topped with a finial. Between the inkwells and below the cherub, the marble base is carved with a shallow, elongated recess to accommodate pens.
