This cast iron inkstand is designed to hold an inkwell and multiple pens. It features a pressed glass inkwell, centrally located, and a lid that is integrated into the cast iron frame. The cast iron base is rectangular and is decorated with repeating floral motifs in relief.
An openwork rack rises behind the inkwell. This rack has three slots for holding pens and is flanked by stylized floral designs. There’s a central circular medallion on the pen rack, designed as a “stop” for the lid when opened.
