This inkstand features a bronze base and a separate, faceted glass inkwell. The bronze square base is stepped and has curved indentations on each side. A green enamel leaf is attached to the front bracket holding the inkwell. The inkwell itself is made of clear glass with cut facets. It has a bronze collar around the opening and a hinged, domed bronze lid that is decorated with a foliate motif.
